Formed in 1983, the Online Group started trading as Online Roadways, providing daily hire of vehicles and drivers for multi-drop deliveries throughout the South East of England from its base in Dagenham, Essex.

The Company has grown to its present day strength by offering a first class service to local, national and international industries - particularly the automotive industry which, owing to its just-in-time culture and production demands, requires the highest level of reliability and consistancy from its chosen logistics partners.

Success has been achieved by maintaining sound trading and training policies within the Online Group - customer satisfaction being the key to success. Building strong and lasting partnerships is at the foundation of Online's business. The Company is committed to providing its customers with the highest standard of service and support, operating a QMS structure in all departments - underwritten by ISO 9002 accreditation.

In July 2005 the new Online Group Head Office complex was proudly unveiled at our existing address in Essex. The investment has been well worthwhile, providing state-of-the-art I.T., Traffic and Accounts Offices and new Security facilities, Commercial Centre, Conference Suite, and Group Boardroom. With additional investment in our European facilities - enabling 24/7 contact with our wholly owned German subsidiary - Online is now even better prepared to satisfy the growing needs of our current and future customers throughout the EU.

We are also delighted to announce the launch of our newest division - Online Technology International Ltd (also referred to as OnlineTEC) - the culmination of years of research and development and considerable investment. This impressive new division specialises in telematics and software for the transportation/logistics industry. Offering increased efficiencies in Traffic Office procedures and vehicle management, OnlineTEC's advanced technology is fully flexible to accommodate the simplest to the most demanding of business requirements. Quickly being recognised for its innovation, OnlineTEC has already been sourced by Bosch Blaupunkt as the preferred software provider for the new Blaupunkt TravelPilot navigation system.

For 2005 Online Roadway's was again awarded the coveted ’Depot of the Year’ - a special award voted for by the PalletFORCE network s 70 members, who highlighted in particular the outstanding level of customer care and service offered by Online Roadways, of which we are rightfully proud. It was also our pleasure recently to co-sponsor the 10th Annual IFW Freighting Industry Awards in the grounds of the Honourable Artillery Company in the City of London. Whilst celebrating best practice in the transporation industry, the evening raised much needed funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
